The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is Samsung’s most refined book-style foldable smartphone, combining a large 7.6-inch inner display with Galaxy AI. Released July 2024, it brings meaningful improvements in camera, AI capabilities, and durability. In this review, we cover design, display, camera, performance, and the best current prices from Amazon.
Design & Build Quality
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a refined, flatter design with a titanium frame that’s lighter (239g vs 253g) and more durable. The new dual-rail hinge offers better dust protection. At 12.1mm thick when folded, it’s noticeably slimmer than the Z Fold 5 (13.4mm).
Available colors: Silver Shadow, Navy, Pink, Black, plus Samsung.com exclusives White and Peach.
Display — 7.6" Inner + 6.3" Cover
Both displays received major upgrades. The 7.6-inch main display now hits 2,600 nits peak brightness (up from 1,750 nits) — far more usable outdoors. Both screens support 1-120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate. The inner Ultra Thin Glass feels more premium and rigid.
Camera System
The Z Fold 6 inherits Samsung’s acclaimed 50MP main sensor from the S24 Ultra:
- Main: 50MP wide (f/1.8), OIS
- Ultra Wide: 12MP (f/2.2), 123 degree FOV
- 3x Telephoto: 10MP (f/2.4), OIS
- Cover Camera: 10MP (f/2.2)
- Inner Camera: 4MP under-display
The 50MP sensor captures excellent detail. Samsung’s AI processing delivers vibrant photos. Night photography has improved noticeably.
Performance & Galaxy AI
Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy with 12GB RAM. Galaxy AI features include Circle to Search, Live Translate, Note Assist, and Photo Assist — all optimized for the foldable form with Flex Mode.
Battery
4,400 mAh battery provides a full day of moderate use. 25W wired charging reaches 50% in about 30 minutes. 15W wireless charging also supported.
